The work is part of a North Texas Tollway Authority project to widen the tollway, adding a fourth lane in each direction. The ramp is expected to reopen in fall 2025, according to the tollway authority.
The tollway is being widened to accommodate population growth in the area and improve access to business and entertainment. The work should help traffic flow as the population continues to grow in northern Collin and Denton counties.
Along with widening the tollway, crews will reconstruct the intersection and DNT bridge over Fields Parkway. All of this should be complete by late 2025, according to the tollway authority.
